MY ART

JOURNEY

For much of my life, I lived behind fear, self-doubt, and the feeling of not being enough. I kept my true passion, art, hidden. I was a closeted artist, disconnected from a part of myself that longed to be expressed.

That began to change when I stepped onto my path through yoga. As I approached the completion of my second training, I created a piece of art that allowed me to truly see myself. In that moment, everything became clear:
I am an artist.

I made the decision to fully honor that truth. Leaving behind what no longer aligned, I built my art business, and devoted myself to the deeper calling of my soul.

Now, I’m here to support you in doing the same.

Yoga and art are twin languages of the soul. They help us process, release, and rediscover who we are beneath the noise.

Together, they become a powerful practice, one that connects body, mind, and spirit, and opens the door to your own creative and authentic expression.

Helen Seay McGahee (RYT-200) believes yoga is less about touching your toes and more about touching your truth.

She began practicing in 2000, completing her first 200-hour teacher training in 2015. After teaching for a few years, and almost completing her certification for  RYT - 500 the pull to focus 100% on her souls path of becoming a full time artist was a force to be reckoned. She then took a deep dive into her creative process — a journey that became her primary focus for several years. Through creating art, motherhood, and lived experience, her understanding of yoga expanded beyond the mat.

Now, Helen returns to teaching with renewed clarity and depth.

Her approach is heart-centered and rooted in the belief that we are all inherently creative beings. She guides students to reconnect with the body as a pathway back to spirit. Using breath-work, centering, intuitive sequencing, and grounded presence, she creates a space for students to soften, listen, and return to self.  She hopes to make each class  a container for honest expression, healing, and alignment.

Helen is continuously inspired to educate herself on the subtle body, anatomy and yoga as a source for healing, reflection, and personal growth.  Off the mat, she finds joy and inspiration in nature, motherhood, art-making, dancing, and living yoga as a daily practice.

MY VISION

I envision a space where people can reconnect with the creative energy they’ve always had but may have buried under doubt, fear, or expectation. My purpose in Heal Creatives is to help others gently dismantle the emotional barriers and mental blocks that keep them from expressing their true selves, whether those come from past criticism, perfectionism, or simply not feeling “enough.” By creating an environment rooted in honesty, curiosity, and courage, I want to guide people toward rediscovering their natural voice and trusting it. Creativity isn’t something reserved for a few, it’s something innate, and when people learn to move through their resistance instead of fighting it, they can unlock a deeper sense of freedom, authenticity, and connection in everything they create.
